| Have you ever heard a piece of music that's made you stop, take notice of the things you have than the things you don't - to be really appreciative of what we've been given than what we crave? I would like some genuine stories on how music has affected your life. Today I heard a song called SOUL on Radio 2 by a truly genuine talent and it made me think. I'm not going to say who the artist is until I know there are people out there who perhaps share the same emotion as I do. |

You only have to post on one thread GTGWGD
There are dozens of musical tracks that have affected me. I can track my musical tastes from the late fifties to the present time.
I appreciate most music, apart from Rap. To me that is not music at all.
I play the Guitar, Keyboards and drums. All amateurishly of course, but I enjoy it.
I can also sing a bit.

Naughty Boy, Thank you for your reply. Well the song I heard on Radio 2 was most unusual and inconventional. Its a song called SOUL by an Indian boy called Shayan Italia who tragically lost his parents when he was young and gained the ability to write songs after.
You can listen to the song by going to YouTube and searching for "Soul Shayan Italia".
I would value what you think of the song and if helps you in anyway as it has me. |

Have listened to him.
He has a good voice. He reminded me of a band called "Squeeze" Vocals by Chris Difford and Glen Tilbrook. Although they where not as soulful as your guy.
I liked his piano playing. Would not say that I would go out and buy it. But I will add it to my computers media collection.
It sort of reminds me when I was younger. I am of the age where I try not to dwell to much on sorrowful and melancholy music and lyrics. But having said that. I enjoyed it.
