Hi there, I wonder if anybody can give me any info about breast reduction on the nhs?. I am going to make an appointment to see my doc 2moz as im really down about my bust, im 26 and a size 34ff, I have been to the doctors once before about this and in nice words told me that I needed to lose weight and that would help, I was a size 40ff and a size 16/18, Ive lost 4 and a half stone now and my bust is still the same apart from back size gone down and more saggy,my neck and shoulders always hurts i cant sit up straight either and often get sore under my bust but the mean thing for me is my self confidence, i can never buy clothes that fit me nice and bra's are a nightmare,i never want 2go out anymore and my husband never really see's me with my top off. I thought with the weight loss it would help me but in fact its made things worse coz im carrying more top end now (if you now what i mean haha). Does anybody now if i would be accepted on the nhs for a reduction?. Please help

HI IVE BEEN TO DOCS TODAY AND HE'S GOING TO REFER ME SO
FINGERS CROSSED :)

Been waiting to hear of the pct now for 5wks, just phoned my docs who phoned the pct and they said they havent recieved my form so i have been waiting for nothing, my doc is going to fax the form of to them and their next meeting is on the 7th sept. Feeling really fed up now just hope their going to give me funding. :(

hi there i have just seen your post and seen that you are from manchester. I too am from manchester and am facing similar problems. I am currently a 34h but a size 10 below. i would like to hear from anyone who has had a reduction on the nhs in manchester as many people have told me that it is not available on the nhs.

I am a 32 g and a size 12/14 . I actually live by ormskirk/ Southport way but when my G.P tried to do choose and book that was the nearest hospital taking referrals, it took me 3/4 of a hour to get there but dont mind travelling as worth it.
