It looks like Man City have finally got rid of Nickolas Anelka (aka The Incredible Sulk). For quite some time now, Anelka has been showing signs that it is time for him to move on.

Glad to say that it looks like he is on his way to Turkish side Fenerbache.

It is a fact that he can score goals, and has been City's top scorer over the last couple of seasons. Though in many games that he hasn't played in, we have looked a far better team.

A few weeks ago he claimed to have a "mysterious" groin injury which he had various tests on. All tests came back negative, showing no injury at all.

The real reason he didn't want to play is because he wanted to leave to play for a bigger club.

Had he been more loyal to Manchester City, he could have played a major part in making them a better club. Instead of showing commitment, he would opt to sulk about. He is one of those players that when you look back over his career, he will never have played for one team for more than 2 or 3 years. One of the problems with football these days is that players are able to move on so easily.

It was better in the good old days when players stayed with their team for most of their career and their heart was in that team.

These days there is no loyalty to a club, players like Anelka get highly paid and know there will always be another team that will want them and pay them more.

Good riddance.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Paris St Germain and Man City - and the guy is only 25.
