Hi there, we are planning a world trip for next year and hoping to travel for about a year - in a motorhome. We have 2 small children (currently 10 weeks & nearly 2yrs) - ah yes - I hear you all shouting "utter madness!" already - I know, but that's why we need all the help we can get! Roughly, we want to get from here (uk) to China via Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia perhaps, Mongolia, China and India. Help help any help gratefully received on all/any aspects!!!
We look forward to your replies, CnM |

if you are wanting to travel to russia, mongolia & china..you would b nuts not to travel on the trans-mongolian...although i think you're slightly mental for taking children that age on such an trip.
i travelled on the trans-mongolian from moscow to beijing..although we did not stop off any where enroute i know this is possible.
the website we booked through was wwx.seat61.con
look for the trans-siberian pages.
we booked through a company called Svezhy Veter
they were excellent, no complaints what so ever.
you have to sort your own visa's out though but they will arrange to pick you up from the airport & arrange your hotel reservations for you. we went to St Petersburg & Moscow getting an over night train between them which they also booked for us. We had our train tickets delivered to my door before we travelled.
we flew into st petersburg but you can get he train all the way from london if you want |

I just wanted to say good luck, it sounds like you have an immense journey ahead of you! Have you thought of starting a blog to document your trip?
Hope so!
Mike
